Oliver Pitschner is a playwright, director, and arts administrator based in so-called Toronto. He is the founder of Ghost Tower Theatre Company, an independent company in its first year exploring themes of youth culture, the family unit, fate, religious fundamentalism, and transgender liberation. Ghost Tower’s flagship production The Other Paris went on to a sold out run at the Red Sandcastle Theatre earlier this spring. He is an arts administrator, currently working for the Toronto Fringe Festival, and sits on the board of directors for East End Arts, helping bring accessible arts and cutlure to Toronto’s east end, where he resides. His wide variety of artswork experiences include digital marketing for Fall for Dance North, community consulting for Theatre Passe Muraille, set design interning for Buddies in Bad Times, and essay writing for Xpace Cultural Centre. He is currently working on his messy queer audio drama collaboration with Around + Out Theatre Company, and can usually be found cooking his friends dinner or out dancing to post punk.
